THE FIRST BLOG ABOUT THE AUTOMATION OF CASTING PRODUCTION!

Piercarlo Bonomi Casting AutomationHi,

my name is Piercarlo Bonomi and I’m writing to you to reveal a secret!

When I started to face the robotic cutting and deburring systems, I needed many years before I fully learned the functionality and effectiveness of each single system and every afternoon after high school I spent all my time next to my father in the company assembling machines and servicing them.

However, over time, through this job I understood which systems can give great results for the client and I realised that it was worth while studying all the details and the features of each single system.

As I grew up and with experience it often happens that I speak with a client about solutions for different processing problems and almost all confirm that our machines are the only solution on the market able to solve specific problems.

Those of the Blades Boycott Me

I have found something out that I want to share.

I thought it would never happen, but I have to tell the story!

It always seems that everything is fine, but in the end there is ALWAYS A PROBLEM!

Let’s put some order, Before telling the facts, I’ve to make a small introduction.

In these years we have developed robotic cutting machines with band saw blade (band mill)

The secret to halve the cycle time

The secret to halve the cycle time

What happens if you take twice as long as necessary?
How is your marginality?

Just yesterday I showed that with a professional deburring machine the cycle time can be halved.

Yes, you got it right, THE CYCLE TIME CAN HALVE !!

But to do it, it is not really that simple.

You will immediately think that to reduce the cycle time, just double the number of machines.

NO IT’S NOT SO THAT I DID!

So I try to explain myself better: we work on equal terms.

I, like my improvised competitor, provided just one machine, and both had inside only one robot.

BUT THE CYCLE TIME OF A PROFESSIONAL DEBURRING MACHINE IS THE HALF OF A IMPROVISED MACHINE.

WHY?

Now I confess you how you can find a successful solution.

How to use a robot for students and technical high school free of charge course

TREBI Robot Training

Do you want to prove yourself and learn how to use a robot?

Trebi offers you the right occasion!

We will teach you to use an industrial robot. Your teacher will be a real robot programmer who works with futuristic applications every day.

Here’s what you have to do:

  • You subscribe in the course by sending an e-mail to info@trebi-bs.com (specifying in the reff “robot learning”). You have just to leave your name and phone number, school, year of attendance.
  • We will contact you for the first lesson of the course (places are limited, so only the first enrolling will be accepted.)
  • At the end of the first lesson you have to attend a test
  • ONLY THE BEST WILL GO NEXT and can move on with the practical lessons of how to use a robot.
  • After each lesson you will have a test that will lead to final judgment written in the certificate.
  • At the end of the course you will receive a certificate that could count as credits for your state exam.

What is a deburring machine?

The ISLAND (WORKSTATION)

We find often in the sector the word ISLAND to identify a robotic machine.

Let me start from this misuse of the word to explain how a robotic machine is composed of.

In the early robots (in the 90s) we hadn’t to follow standards to build a machine, it was enough that it could produce pieces.

So, the robot was in the spotlight of the manufacturer and the user.

The robot was the highest palm tree of the ISLAND (workstation) at the centre of ISOLA. The robotic machine was stationary (not connected to anything else in the factory) and the robot was the focal point of the machine.

All equipment were under of the robots and their safety study had still to follow.

Nowadays everything has changed.

Let’s go step by step.

How is a deburring machine composed of?
